The
Lodge
Onondaga
Lodge #36 has been chartered with the Order of the
Arrow, and has served the Ohio River Valley
Council Since 1993.
The creation of our lodge was the result of
the merger between Arrowhead Lodge (National Trail
Council) and Papoukewis Lodge (Fort Steuben Area
Council) 11 years ago.
Onondaga
Lodge holds many service projects throughout the
year to benefit or Council.
We are constantly making improvements at
both Fort Steuben Scout Reservation and Sandscrest
Scout Reservation.
In
addition to Onondaga’s outstanding activity
within the Council, we are also extremely active
in the Section.
Each year Onondaga Lodge sends over 10
percent of our active membership to the
Section’s Conclave.
While at the Conclave, Onondaga
participates in many competitions including the
ceremonies competitions, drum competitions, and
dance competitions.
Onondaga
Lodge also participates in many National events.
We were able to send a large contingent to
the 2004 NOAC in
Ames
Iowa
. While
at NOAC, our ceremonies team was ranked as an
honor team for the ceremony competition.
Our lodge also has had many of our members
attend the National Leadership Seminar as well as
Indian Summer.
In
conclusion, Onondaga Lodge has been extremely
active as an Order of the Arrow Lodge, and this
year will be no different.
In fact, our lodge will endeavor to become
even more active.
Our lodge is currently the home of the
Section Chief, as well as the Section Conclave
Vice Chief of Training, and the Section Chairman
of High Adventure.
With these Arrowmen in our membership, and
the outstanding leadership of our lodge officers
and advisors, our lodge will continue to thrive
for years to come.
