Banquet '04

 This
year’s annual lodge Winter Banquet will be hosted by
Meechgalanne Chapter.
The Banquet will be held on Sunday, December 19th
at Vance Presbyterian Church in Wheeling.
The cost for the banquet is $12.00 per person.
Families of Arrowmen are invited and encouraged to
attend. The doors will open at 6:00pm and the
dinner at 6:30pm. You
need to register by calling the scout office at
(304-277-2660). Please make your reservations by
5:00PM on Wednesday, December 15. The lodge and
Meechgalanne Chapter need all reservations by that time
so they may make proper plans with the caterers.
The
Lodge banquet is a time for fellowship and recognition.
Lodge members from all over the Ohio River Valley
Council will be in attendance.
The Lodge will be recognizing the Gold Mandela award recipients, Vigil Candidates and the Founders
Award recipients.
The
Gold Mandela is the Lodge participation award.
A Lodge member must actively participate in the
Chapter, Lodge and Section.
The Vigil is the highest level an Arrowman can
attain. The
Candidate must be a Brotherhood member for two years,
then be nominated by the Lodge, and finally selected by
the Lodge Vigil Committee.
The Founders Award is given to the Arrowmen that
best exemplifies the values of the Order of the Arrow in
their everyday life.
As
always, there will be a silent auction with various
patches and scout memorabilia.
